Dhania powder or coriander seeds powder is a basic ingredient required to prepare most of the gravies and curries. The aroma of this roasted and blended powder adds a flavored touch to all the dishes where ever they are added. Rather than to call this post a recipe,I just wanted to note it as a small tip. Some curries doesn’t give out the meaning of taste when not added the dhania powder.









 
Ingredients :

Dhania seeds -2 cups
Curry leaves – 1/4 cup


Method :

  1. Wash the curry leaves and dry out the water completely.
  2. Heat a thick pan and dry the dhania seeds in low flame until you get the fine aroma.
  3. At this stage add the curry leaves along with it and roast well.
  4. Allow it to cool down and grind using a blender to a fine powder.
  5. Store in an air tight bottle.

Note :
  • Adding curry leaves to grind the dhania powder gives a good flavor.
  • Roast in medium/low flame.
  • Stir continuously for the heat to spread evenly and the seeds to get roasted.
