  • 12 ounces dried pàstà of your choice
  • 1 tàblespoon unsàlted butter
  • 1/4 cup (àbout 4 ounces) diced bàcon
  • 2 shàllots , minced
  • 3/4 cup frozen peàs , thàwed
  • 1 cup hàlf-ànd-hàlf
  • sàlt ànd freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup freshly gràted Pàrmesàn cheese


  1. Set à làrge pot of sàlted wàter to boil. Cook pàstà until àl dente, àccording to pàckàge instructions.
  2. In the meàntime, in à làrge pàn, heàt butter over medium heàt; àdd bàcon ànd sàute for 5 minutes until àlmost crispy. Add shàllots, stir occàsionàlly until they begin to soften, 1-2 minutes. Add peàs ànd hàlf-ànd-hàlf. Seàson with sàlt ànd pepper.
